The Department of Peking Opera and Kunqu Opera is the most representative department of the National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts, renowned as the premier institution for training talent in Peking Opera and Kunqu Opera. The department offers five specialized programs: Peking Opera Performance, Music in Peking Opera, Kunqu Opera Performance, Music in Kunqu Opera, and Stage Management. The Peking Opera Performance program is recognized as a National-Level First-Class Undergraduate Program. The Music in Peking Opera program is a Beijing Municipal-Level program, with several courses honored as National-Level Quality Courses.
